We welcomed James Asser MP for Newham on 11th October 2025, where he spent time understanding how SEN Sports supports families navigating complex SEND systems. His visit highlighted the urgent need for consistent, accessible community provision that prioritises children’s needs.
Gareth Bacon MP, Orpington – 1 November 2025
We were honoured to host Gareth Bacon MP for Orpington on 1st November 2025. During his visit, he observed our inclusive coaching approach and spoke with families about the challenges they face accessing suitable activities. The visit acknowledged the critical role organisations like ours play in filling gaps where mainstream services fall short.
Mike Martin MP, Tunbridge Wells – 8 November 2025
On 8th November 2025, Mike Martin MP for Tunbridge Wells visited SEN Sports to learn more about our inclusive model and community impact. He saw how our sessions support not just physical activity, but emotional regulation, social development, and family wellbeing. His engagement reflects growing recognition of the need for properly supported SEND provision at grassroots level.
Tysie Gallagher – 9 November 2025
On 9th November, we welcomed Tysie Gallagher to one of our sessions. During the visit, Tysie observed our coaches in action, engaging with children across a range of needs and abilities. The visit highlighted the value of safe, structured, and joyful movement spaces for children who are often excluded from mainstream sport.
Margaret Greer, Mayor of Enfield – 22 November 2025
On 22nd November, Margaret Greer, Mayor of Enfield, attended our Special Olympics GB event, celebrating the achievements, confidence, and joy of our children and young people. Her presence at this milestone event underscored the importance of inclusive sport as a vehicle for dignity, visibility, and community pride.
Deputy Mayor of Bromley, Gemma Turrell – 13 December 2025
On 13th December 2025, we were pleased to host Gemma Turrell, Deputy Mayor of Bromley. The visit focused on how inclusive sport can strengthen local communities, reduce isolation, and create safe spaces where children with additional needs can thrive alongside their peers.
